Self Educated Street Cred

In reviewing the previous posts, I realized that I might have come off as being against formal higher education. That is not true. It is necessary especially in fields where there absolutely must be proven accreditation such as a physician. Also, not everybody is cut out of the same cloth and the vast majority of people find it beneficial for them to pursue traditional avenues of higher learning though college and university study as their foundation. I am just trying to get a little street cred for those of us who have written our own syllabus.
